A folding digital thermometer that delivers an accurate temperature reading in about 3 seconds.

This thermometer uses a 4.5-inch stainless steel probe and a thermistor sensor to read temperatures from -40F to 450F, displaying results on a backlit LCD screen that is easy to read in a dim kitchen or over a grill at night. The probe folds flush into the body when not in use, protecting the tip and letting the unit sit safely in a drawer, and it automatically powers off after 10 minutes of inactivity to save the battery. An IP66 water-resistant housing lets you rinse the probe under the tap without worrying about damage. The display can be calibrated for accuracy and includes a magnetic back panel for storing it on the refrigerator or a metal range hood. It is sized for checking poultry, roasts, steaks, and candy or oil temperatures alike.
